It has been published since July 1989. At first, the newspaper was published at the expense of the budget of the Crimea region, and since 2004 - with the funds of state subsidies allocated by the State Committee of Nationalities and Religion (SCR). Since 2005, the newspaper has been published once a month with the "Qırımqaraylar" supplement.
The newspaper was published with a circulation of 4,000 copies twice a week until May 2011, when it ceased to exist for two months. This happened due to the liquidation of the DKNR, whose subsidies covered 70-75% of all expenses for publishing the newspaper (the rest was covered by sales revenue). In July 2011, the publishing house of the newspaper was restored.
